Tronic Cylindrical Frosted Glass Wall Lamp, Silver Metal Frame

Our review

This is a wall-mounted light fixture from Tronic, built around a silver metal frame with a cylindrical frosted glass shade. The frosted glass is the detail worth noticing: it diffuses light rather than throwing a bare, harsh beam, which makes it a calmer choice for bedrooms, hallways, stairwells and bedside positions than an open or clear-shade fitting. The silver frame and clean cylindrical shape lean contemporary, but the simple lines let it sit comfortably in more traditional rooms too, so it works if you are mixing old and new pieces.
Before buying, think about placement and pairing. Wall lamps like this are usually bought in twos for symmetry, so decide whether you want one statement fitting or a matched pair flanking a mirror, headboard or doorway. Check the wall you have in mind for a suitable mounting point and existing wiring, since the listing gives no dimensions, finish details or bulb information. If you are comparing alternatives, frosted glass shades generally give softer, more even light than clear glass, while metal frames in a polished silver tone show fingerprints more than matte finishes. A fabric or ceramic shade will feel warmer and more traditional; this one reads crisper and more modern. Available on Sokonia.
