Ingco RS8008 Reciprocating Saw, 750W, 900-3300rpm

Our review

This is a corded reciprocating saw from Ingco, running on 220-240V at 50/60Hz with a 750W motor and a no-load speed range of 900 to 3300rpm. The variable speed range matters because slower strokes suit metal and faster strokes suit wood, so you can match the tool to the material rather than forcing one speed through everything. Its stated cutting depths are 115mm in wood, 8mm in steel and 12mm in aluminium, which puts it in the territory of demolition work, pruning, pipe cutting and rough carpentry rather than fine joinery. The SDS blade change chuck is the practical highlight: swapping between the supplied metal blade and wood blade takes seconds, and the box also includes a hex key and a set of extra carbon brushes, which is worth noting since brushes are a wear item on motors of this type. Before buying, think about where you will use it. A corded saw needs mains power, so it suits a workshop, a site with power, or home jobs near an outlet, not remote fieldwork. Check the blade type you need for your material, since the two included blades cover wood and metal only. Compare it with other corded reciprocating saws on stroke length, speed control and blade-change system, and weigh whether you want cordless freedom instead. Available on Sokonia.
