Decakila Slotted Spoon KMTT041B, 5cm Plastic with Stainless Steel Handle

Our review

This is a slotted spoon from Decakila, model KMTT041B, with a head about 5cm across. The working end is plastic and the handle is stainless steel, so you get a light tool with a firm grip. Because the plastic is BPA-free and the spoon is dishwasher-safe, it fits everyday cooking where you want to drain vegetables, lift food out of liquid, or serve without carrying too much broth. The plastic head is also described as safe for nonstick cookware, which matters if you would rather not scratch your pans.
It suits someone who cooks regularly and wants a simple draining spoon that will not scrape a coated pan. Before buying, think about the size: a 5cm head is on the smaller side, so it is better for portions and smaller pans than for lifting large quantities from a big pot. Check the length you need against your deepest pot, and compare with metal slotted spoons if you want something that can sit in a hot pan for longer, or with silicone ones if you prefer a softer edge.
