Ingco Slotted Screwdriver 125mm HS686125

Our review

This is a single slotted screwdriver from Ingco, listed as model HS686125, with a 6.5mm slotted tip, a 6.0mm diameter round shank and a 125mm length. It arrives with a plastic hanger, which makes it easy to hang on a pegboard or display strip rather than losing it in a drawer. The shank is described as S2, a steel grade commonly used for screwdriver bits and drivers because it holds up to repeated torque better than softer steels.
It suits someone who needs one reliable flathead driver for common tasks around the house, workshop or car: tightening terminal screws, prying open paint tins, adjusting slotted fittings, or working on appliances where a Phillips driver will not fit. The 125mm length gives reasonable reach into recessed screws without being unwieldy, and the 6.5mm tip is a middle-of-the-road size that fits many household screws. If most of your work involves tiny electronics screws, a smaller tip would be more appropriate; if you are dealing with large lag bolts, you would want a wider blade.
Before buying, check the screw heads you actually encounter. A slotted driver only works well when the blade width and thickness match the slot, so measure a few screws if you are unsure. Also consider whether you want a single driver or a set, and whether you prefer a round or square shank if you plan to use a wrench for extra leverage. Compare the tip size, shank length and handle grip with other slotted drivers before deciding. This one is available on Sokonia.
