Ingco SDS Plus Hammer Drill Bit 6x160mm DBH1210602

Our review

This is a single SDS Plus drill bit from Ingco, sized 6mm in diameter and 160mm long, sold under model number DBH1210602 and packed on a plastic hanger. That combination of diameter and length makes it a general-purpose masonry bit: 6mm holes are what you typically drill for wall plugs when fixing shelving, curtain rails, cable clips or light brackets into brick or concrete, and 160mm of overall length gives you enough reach to get through plaster and into the block behind without the chuck scraping the wall. It suits a homeowner or tradesperson who already owns an SDS Plus rotary hammer drill and needs a spare or replacement bit in this size, rather than someone buying their first drill. SDS Plus tooling is not the same as a plain round shank, so check your drill's chuck system before ordering; a standard corded or cordless drill with a keyed jaw chuck will not hold it. Also confirm the diameter you actually need, since wall plugs are matched to hole size and a 6mm bit will not suit a plug designed for 8mm. When comparing, look at the carbide tip and flute design of alternatives, and whether you want a multi-bit set instead of one size. Available on Sokonia.
