Tronic Spotlight DOB 3W 45mm Daylight White

Our review

This Tronic spotlight is a small, low-wattage fitting built around a 45mm DOB (driver-on-board) design, which means the driver sits on the board itself rather than as a separate component. It produces daylight white light, so the tone is crisp and neutral rather than warm, which tends to suit spaces where you want colours and surfaces to read clearly. It is best thought of as an accent or task light: somewhere you want to draw the eye to a particular object, shelf, display or work surface rather than flood a whole room. Because it is only 3W, it will not carry a room on its own, so plan it as part of a wider lighting scheme. Before buying, check the fitting you intend to pair it with, since the 45mm measurement and the DOB format matter for compatibility, and confirm the beam angle and connector type suit your setup, as those details are not listed here. Compare it with other small daylight-white spots on wattage, beam spread and whether they need a separate driver, since that last point affects both installation and long-term replacement.
