Nikai NR320A Rice Cooker 3.2L with Keep Warm and Teflon-Coated Pot

Our review

The Nikai NR320A is a family-sized rice cooker built around a 3.2-litre capacity, which generally suits households of roughly four to six people or anyone who likes to cook a batch and reheat it later. Its main convenience is automatic operation: the double thermostat system senses when the rice has absorbed its water and reached the right temperature, then moves the unit into keep-warm mode instead of leaving you to watch the clock. The inner pot has a Teflon coating, which helps with release and cleaning, and the package includes an aluminum steamer for vegetables or dumplings above the rice. The power cord detaches, useful when you want to move the cooker to the sink or store it away. The listed materials are BPA-free plastic and food-grade components, and the parts are described as microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator safe, though you should confirm which individual pieces that applies to before relying on it. Before buying, think about counter space, since a 3.2-litre body takes up more room than a 1.8-litre model, and consider whether you want a simple mechanical cooker like this or a fuzzy-logic unit with more programmes. Compare the pot coating, the steamer inclusion and the cord design against other cookers in the same size class. Available on Sokonia.
