Ingco Angle Grinder 2600W AG26008, 230mm Disc, 6200rpm

Our review

This is a corded angle grinder built around a 230mm disc, which puts it in the larger, heavier class of grinders rather than the one-hand 115mm or 125mm tools many households keep. The 2600W motor and 6200rpm no-load speed point to cutting and grinding work on thicker steel, concrete or masonry, where a smaller grinder would labour. It runs on 220-240V at 50/60Hz and uses an M14 spindle thread, the common size for 230mm discs and many wire brushes and cup wheels, so consumables are easy to find. An auxiliary handle is included, and a set of carbon brushes comes in the box, which matters because brushes are a normal wear item on a motor this size. The M14 thread also means you should check that any disc or accessory you plan to fit matches it. Before buying, think about disc size and weight: a 230mm grinder is tiring to hold overhead and needs both hands, so if your work is light, a smaller model may suit you better. Compare wattage, disc diameter and spindle thread against other grinders in this class, and confirm the voltage suits your power supply. Available on Sokonia.
