Hitachi CV-950F Drum Vacuum Cleaner, 2100W, 18L

Our review

This is a corded drum vacuum from Hitachi, built around a 2100W motor and an 18-litre dust container. The large capacity and long 7.8-metre power cord mean fewer interruptions: you can clean a full house, an office, or a mosque hall without constantly emptying the bin or hunting for another socket. The removable, washable filter keeps running costs down since you rinse and reuse it rather than buying replacements often.
It suits people with big floor areas, mixed rugs and hard floors, and plenty of dust or sand tracked in from outside. The sand blower is the standout extra: a strong airflow setting for sweeping sand and light dust off entrances and hallways, which matters in coastal or dusty regions. The rug-floor nozzle covers both carpet and bare floors, so one machine handles most rooms.
Before buying, check the drum size against your storage space, confirm the 7.8m cord reaches your furthest room, and think about weight if you will carry it up stairs. Compare with cylinder vacuums of similar wattage: drum models usually hold more dust but are bulkier to move. If capacity and suction matter more than portability, this is the type to shortlist.
