Ariston PHN 961 TS/IX 87cm Gas Hob with 5 Burners

Our review

This Ariston hob is a five-burner gas model measuring 87cm across, with mechanical controls set at the front and automatic ignition. Each burner uses an electromagnetic safety device, which cuts the gas if a flame goes out, a detail worth confirming matters to you if children or elderly relatives use the kitchen. The elongated cast iron grids suggest a sturdy pan surface, though the listing gives no further specification. It suits larger households or anyone who cooks several dishes at once and wants a wide layout rather than a compact four-burner. Before buying, measure your counter cut-out and check whether your gas supply and installer can handle a hob this wide. Compare it with similar five-burner hobs on burner spacing, control placement and safety type, since those affect daily use more than looks. Available on Sokonia.
