La Opala Royal Iris Classique 38-Piece Dinner Set, Model LR038

Our review

This is a 38-piece dinner set from La Opala's Royal Iris Classique line, listed under model LR038. The glazing is fired under tightly controlled conditions, which the maker says gives it strong resistance to scratches and abrasions, and the tempering process is designed to handle impact and thermal shock well enough for dishwasher use. That combination suits households that eat together often and would rather not hand-wash delicate plates after every meal. Before buying, count what your table actually needs: 38 pieces covers a larger gathering, so it may be more than a couple or a small family requires. Also think about how the set will be stored, since a full service takes up cabinet space, and whether you want matching serveware or just place settings. Compare it with other opal glass and bone china sets on how many pieces you get, whether the plates are described as dishwasher safe, and how replacement pieces could be sourced if one chips. Check the Sokonia listing for the exact piece breakdown, since that detail is not given here.
