Decakila Colander Salad Spinner 4L Transparent Bowl KMTT088W

Our review

This is a two-in-one kitchen tool: a colander basket inside a transparent 4-litre bowl, with a crank handle on top for spinning salad greens, fruits and vegetables dry. The parts separate completely, which makes rinsing and cleaning straightforward, and the bowl can be used on its own as a large container once the basket is lifted out. It suits home cooks who wash leafy greens often and want them dry enough for dressing to cling, rather than sitting wet in a serving bowl. Before buying, check that 4 litres matches the quantity you usually prepare, and confirm the 24.3 by 24.3 by 16.3 cm footprint fits your cupboard or fridge. Compared with pull-cord spinners, the crank design is the main difference to weigh up, along with whether you prefer a transparent bowl for seeing contents at a glance. The plastic is PP and PS and stated as BPA free. Available on Sokonia.
