Nadstar Aluminium Prant 16 No18 – 19.5cm Top, 16cm Base, 1.6kg

Our review

This Nadstar aluminium prant is a shallow, wide cooking pan with a 19.5cm top diameter, 16cm base and 4cm height, weighing 1.6kg. The No18 size sits in the middle of the common prant range, so it suits small households cooking rice, stews or sauces for two to four people. Because the base is narrower than the rim, it works best on gas or electric hobs where the flame or ring matches the 16cm base rather than the wider top. Before buying, check your hob size and whether you prefer a thicker gauge for even heat; aluminium heats quickly but can warp if overheated empty. Compare with lighter prants if you need to lift it often, or with non-stick versions if sticking is a concern. The stated weight suggests a solid feel, but no lid, handle type or coating is listed, so confirm those details on the Sokonia listing if they matter to you.
