Tronic Oval Ceiling Light with Black Polyamide Grid

Our review

This Tronic ceiling light is an oval fixture finished with a black polyamide grid, a combination that gives it a clean, contemporary look rather than the plain white diffusers most ceilings carry. It suits anyone updating a living room, bedroom, hallway or rental where the ceiling is visible and the lighting is expected to do some decorative work. Because no specifications are listed, check the actual dimensions, the mounting type, the bulb fitting and the maximum wattage on the Sokonia listing before ordering, and confirm the oval size against your room. Compare it with round flush mounts and square panel lights: the oval shape reads softer and more deliberate, while the grid adds texture. Also weigh it against fixtures with exposed bulbs, which give brighter task light but less even coverage. If your ceiling is low or the wiring point is off-centre, measure carefully, since an oval fitting draws attention to placement.
