Tronic Recessed Spot 4xGU10 Round Wall Lamp, White

Our review

This is a recessed ceiling spot from Tronic, built around four GU10 lamp positions and rated for 220-240V mains supply. The IP20 rating tells you it is intended for dry indoor areas, so it belongs in living rooms, hallways, kitchens or shop interiors rather than bathrooms, showers or exposed outdoor ceilings. The white finish and round trim are meant to sit flush and disappear into the ceiling, which suits anyone who wants directional light without a visible pendant or track. Because the four heads sit in one fitting, it works well where you want a cluster of focused beams on a wall, artwork or counter rather than broad ambient light. Before buying, check the ceiling void depth and cut-out size your ceiling can take, since recessed fittings need clearance above the plasterboard. Also confirm your GU10 lamps are the right voltage and that you are happy with the beam angle, because the housing does not include lamps in the details given. Compare it with single-head recessed spots if you only need one beam, or with surface-mounted spots if you cannot cut into the ceiling. If you need bathroom or outdoor use, look for a higher IP rating instead. Available on Sokonia.
