Tronic Aluminum Diecast LED Flood Light, 100W Daylight
TSh 155,000
Our review
This is a 100-watt LED flood light from Tronic, built in a die-cast aluminum body that helps pull heat away from the LEDs. Tronic rates the output at up to 10,000 lumens in a daylight color, and says it draws more than 80 percent less power than the halogen outdoor lamps people have traditionally used for the same job. That combination suits anyone lighting a compound wall, gate, yard, driveway or work area where the light stays on for long evening hours and running costs matter. Before buying, think about where it will be mounted and whether your wiring and switch can handle a 100-watt fixture, since a unit this bright is usually too much for a small doorway or balcony. Compare it with lower-wattage LED floods if you only need a soft pool of light, and with solar options if power at the mounting point is a problem. Also check the beam angle and mounting bracket of any alternative, because a narrow beam throws further while a wide one covers more ground. The aluminum housing is the main quality signal here, as cheaper plastic-bodied floods tend to fade sooner in hot, dusty conditions. Available on Sokonia.
