Ingco HRH60028 Roofing Hammer 600g with Magnetic Nail Holder

Our review

This is a 600g roofing hammer from Ingco, model HRH60028, built around a drop-forged head in heat-treated 45# carbon steel. Two features set it apart from a plain claw hammer: a magnetic nail function that holds a nail in place so you can start it one-handed, and an anti-slip function on a fiberglass handle with a distinctive shape. Roofing work means long stretches of reaching and swinging, often on ladders or slopes, so a handle that resists slipping and a head that keeps its edge matter more than a fancy finish. It suits roofers, fundis and serious DIY builders fixing sheets, battens or trims, and anyone who regularly drives nails overhead. Before buying, compare head weight with the nails you use, check whether the handle length and grip feel right for your reach, and look at how the magnetic slot is cut if you plan to start nails in awkward spots. A heavier hammer drives faster but tires your arm sooner, so match it to the job.
