Hisense Toaster 850W Black HT850BK

Our review

The Hisense HT850BK is a black two-slot toaster rated at 850W, built around one simple idea: toast tastes better when the appliance itself is clean. Its crumb tray is the part that matters most day to day, because stale crumbs are what usually cause a toaster to smell unpleasant long before the bread does. Seven browning levels give you room to move between barely coloured and properly dark, so you can settle on a setting that suits your bread rather than fighting the machine. It suits someone who wants a straightforward toaster for a household that eats toast most mornings, and who is willing to empty the tray every few days. If you regularly toast for four or more people at once, compare it with a four-slot model, since two slots mean waiting in batches. Also weigh up whether you want a wider slot for thick-cut or homemade bread, and whether a defrost or reheat function matters to you, as those are not listed here. Before buying, check the slot width against the bread you actually eat and confirm the cord length suits your counter. Available on Sokonia.
