Tronic Space Bar PVC Saddles 25mm

Our review

These Tronic saddles are the small white PVC fittings that hold a conduit run slightly away from the wall or surface it is fixed to, rather than clamping it flush. That gap matters in practice: it keeps the conduit clear of damp or uneven surfaces, gives a little room for expansion and makes it easier to run a fixing behind the pipe. Because they are made of PVC, they suit indoor and sheltered conduit work where a non-metallic, non-corroding fitting is wanted, and the 25mm dimension tells you the conduit size they are intended to fit. Before ordering, confirm your conduit's outside diameter matches 25mm and that the fixing holes line up with how you plan to mount them, since saddles vary in that respect. It is also worth comparing against metal saddles if the run is outdoors or needs extra mechanical strength, and against plain saddles if you do not actually need the stand-off. Tronic backs them with a one-year warranty. Available on Sokonia.
