Frigidaire Box Fan 45W 12-Inch 3-Speed with Timer, White FD9209

Our review

This is a 12-inch box fan from Frigidaire, rated at 45 watts with three speed settings and a timer. The box format pushes air in a fairly straight, focused stream, which makes it a reasonable pick for a bedroom, a small living room, or a workspace where you want air moving across a specific spot rather than a wide sweep. The three speeds let you drop to a gentler setting at night and step up when a room feels stuffy, and the timer is handy if you prefer the fan to switch itself off after you settle in. Frigidaire describes the construction as sturdy enough for heavy usage, so it should cope with being run often through hot months. Before buying, think about the size of the space you need to cool and whether a box fan's directional airflow suits it better than an oscillating pedestal or tower fan, which spreads air around a room instead. Also check the controls and timer range on the listing, since those details are not given here. It is available on Sokonia.
