Our review
The Tronic Digital Clamp Meter PM2028B is a portable measuring instrument aimed at people who need to take readings on live conductors without breaking the circuit. Its LCD has a back light, which helps in dim plant rooms, distribution boards and ceiling voids where a plain display is hard to read. The unit is designed to IEC-61010 for electronic measuring instruments, with an overvoltage category of CAT III 600V and pollution degree 2, so it is intended for work on fixed installation wiring rather than only low-voltage bench tasks. Before buying, check the jaw size suits the cables you will clamp, and confirm the functions and safety rating match the work you do, since no further specifications are listed here. Compare it with other clamp meters on measurement range, jaw opening and build quality, and treat the CAT III 600V rating as the key benchmark. It is available on Sokonia.
