Tronic Onload Enclosed Manual Changeover 630A, AC 415V

Our review

This Tronic unit is a manually operated, enclosed changeover switch rated at 630 amps and AC 415 volts, built to transfer load between two supply sources while they are still live. The onload rating matters because it can be operated under load rather than only after shutting everything down, and it also provides emergency breaking plus safe isolation of downstream circuits so maintenance work can be done without backfeed risk. It suits larger installations where a single high-capacity switch is preferred over several smaller units, such as a main distribution board serving a whole building or a workshop with heavy machinery. Before buying, confirm your total connected load stays within 630A, that your supply is 415V AC, and that the grey enclosure at 350mm high by 455mm wide fits your panel or wall space with room for cable bending. Also check whether your electrician wants an onload or offload type, since offload models are cheaper but cannot be switched under load, and compare whether a motorised or automatic changeover would serve you better if frequent or remote switching is needed. The full material and contact details are not stated here, so ask about those if they affect your installation.
