Tronic Black Twin Blank Plate

Our review

This Tronic blank plate is a simple cover for a wall box that no longer needs a switch or socket, or for a spot where a connection was planned but never fitted. It also works where construction left an opening you would rather not patch with drywall. The twin format means it covers a double-gang position, so it suits anyone tidying up a room, finishing a renovation, or keeping a future wiring point accessible instead of sealing it permanently. Before buying, confirm the plate matches the box size and fixing centres you already have, and check that the black finish suits the surrounding fittings. Compared with patching and repainting a wall, a blanking plate is the quicker, more reversible option, and it keeps the wiring point available if you later want to add a fixture. If you need a single cover instead, look for a one-gang version of the same style. Available on Sokonia.
