Our review
The De'Longhi Dedica Style EC685.BK is a manual espresso machine for someone who wants to be hands-on with the brew rather than press one button and walk away. You choose your blend, pull the shot yourself, and froth milk with the built-in frother, so the result depends on your technique as much as the machine. The Thermoblock system is there to bring water to brewing temperature quickly, and De'Longhi positions the result as a rich, smooth espresso with a proper cream on top. The adjustable cappuccino system widens what you can make beyond straight espresso, covering the usual milk-based drinks. Before buying, think about your counter space and how much fiddling you actually want each morning, because a manual machine rewards attention and punishes rushing. Compare it with bean-to-cup automatics if convenience matters more than control, and with simpler pump machines if you rarely steam milk. Check which baskets and accessories come in the box, since that affects the coffees you can attempt on day one. It is available on Sokonia.
