Tronic 12V Halogen Capsule Bulb, 35W

Our review

This is a low-voltage halogen capsule bulb from Tronic, rated 12 volts and 35 watts. Because it runs on 12V rather than mains voltage, it belongs in fittings that step voltage down, such as work lights, under-cabinet strips and vehicle headlamps. It suits anyone replacing a blown capsule in an existing 12V fixture, or building directed lighting where a compact, bright source is needed. Before buying, confirm your fitting accepts a 12V capsule and that the transformer or driver matches the 35W load; a mismatched supply is the usual cause of short bulb life. Halogen capsules also run hot, so keep them clear of nearby materials and avoid touching the glass with bare fingers. Compared with standard incandescent reflectors, halogen capsules of this type are often chosen as a more effective replacement, though LED equivalents now compete on efficiency and lifespan. Check your holder type and voltage first, then decide whether halogen or LED better fits how often the light is used. Available on Sokonia.
