CKE B30S Commercial Planetary Stand Mixer, 30L, 3-Speed, 1.5kW

Our review

The CKE B30S is a planetary stand mixer aimed at commercial kitchens rather than home bakers. Its 30-litre capacity and 1.5kW motor put it in the range where a bakery, restaurant or catering operation is mixing dough, batter or icing in batches instead of one cake at a time. The three-speed planetary gear system is the defining feature: planetary mixing moves the beater around the bowl as well as through it, which generally gives a more even result than a single-axis mixer of similar size.
Before buying, think about what the machine has to do daily. A 30L bowl suits moderate production, so match it to your typical batch size rather than your busiest day. Check which attachments and bowl are included, since commercial mixers are often sold in several configurations, and confirm the power supply your kitchen can provide for a 1.5kW motor. Also compare bowl guards, controls and build quality against other planetary mixers in this class, because those details affect how tiring the machine is to use over a long shift. It is available on Sokonia.
