It runs a two-strand load chain, and the hook-to-hook distance is 470 mm when closed up, so it needs a little headroom above the load. Pulling a full 3-tonne load takes about 404 N at the hand chain, which is real effort rather than a light tug, so plan the lift and keep the chain straight. The unit weighs 21.5 kg, so think about how you will hang or carry it. It suits workshops, garages, farms and small construction jobs where loads are occasional and within rating. Before buying, compare lift height, chain strands and hook opening against your task, and confirm your beam or frame is rated for the working load. Check the chain and hooks on arrival, and keep the rating plate readable.
