Tronic Downlight SCOB LED 23W in White, Day Light

Our review

This is a recessed ceiling light from Tronic, built around a 23-watt SCOB LED module and finished in white aluminium with a 220mm body. It runs on mains voltage of 220 to 240 volts AC and gives a daylight colour temperature, so the light reads crisp and neutral rather than warm. That makes it a reasonable pick for kitchens, corridors, bathrooms, shops and workspaces where you want clear, even illumination instead of a soft yellow glow. Because it is a downlight, it is meant to sit flush in a ceiling, so before buying, check the cut-out size your ceiling already has and confirm it matches the 220mm dimension given here. Also think about how many fittings a room needs, since a single 23W unit covers only part of a space. Compared with standard warm-white downlights, this one suits task and utility areas better; compared with lower-wattage fittings, it draws more power but should light a wider area. If you prefer a cosier feel in bedrooms or living rooms, a warm-white alternative may suit you better. It is available on Sokonia.
