This is a manual chain block from Ingco, rated to lift 5 tonnes over a 3 metre height. It uses two load chains, and the hook-to-hook distance is 600 mm, so it fits into fairly tight lifting gaps. The pull needed to raise a full load is 476 N, roughly what one person can manage with a steady two-handed pull, and the unit itself weighs 35 kg. It suits workshops, warehouses, construction crews and anyone lifting engines, steel, generators or machinery where there is no power or where a hoist must be portable. Before buying, check the beam or anchor point can take the load, confirm the 3 m lift covers your working height, and match the hook opening to your sling or shackle. Compare against lever hoists, which are slower but useful in tight spots, and against electric hoists, which cost more and need power. Also weigh the 35 kg body against how often you will move it, and check the chain and hooks on arrival.
