Tronic LED Downlighter 3W White Recessed Ceiling Light

Our review

This is a small recessed ceiling fitting from Tronic, rated at 3 watts and finished in white. It is the kind of light you tuck into a soffit, hallway ceiling or display niche where you want a low, even wash of light rather than a bright room-filling beam. The pearly optical lens is the detail worth noting: it softens the output so you get gentle, non-glare illumination, which suits spots where people look up or where the fitting sits close to a wall.
Before buying, check the cut-out diameter your ceiling already has, since recessed downlights are sized to the hole, not the trim, and a mismatch means patching plasterboard. Also confirm the beam direction and whether the fitting is fixed or adjustable, as that changes where the light lands. Compare it with other 3W recessed units on brightness feel, lens type and how the spring clips grip, since weak clips let fittings sag over time.
