Tronic Grey 1 Gang Blank Plate

Our review

This Tronic blank plate is a single-gang cover in grey, made to close off a wall box or opening that no longer serves a purpose. It fits situations where a switch or socket has been removed, where a connection point was planned but never used, or where construction left a gap you would rather not fill with plaster and paint. It suits anyone who wants a tidy, reversible fix rather than a permanent repair, including renters and anyone planning future wiring changes. Before buying, confirm the opening is a standard single-gang box and that grey matches your surrounding fittings, since no other colours or sizes are listed here. Compared with patching drywall, a blank plate is faster and easier to undo later, but it will not hide a hole that sits outside a box. If you need a flush, painted finish, patching may be the better route.
