Tronic Integrated T5 LED Fitting, 5 Feet, 12 Watts

Our review

This is a five-foot T5 LED tube from Tronic, sold as an integrated fitting rather than a bare lamp, so the driver sits inside the tube and it wires straight into a mains supply. The low 12W rating makes it a sensible pick for anyone lighting a long, narrow space where you want light without a big running cost, such as a workshop bench, garage, corridor, store room or row of shelving. Before ordering, measure the length you actually need and confirm how you will mount it, since T5 tubes are usually fixed with clips or a batten rather than dropped into an old fluorescent housing. Also check whether your existing fitting uses a separate ballast, because integrated LED tubes are normally wired directly and bypass it. Compared with standard fluorescent tubes of the same length, this type tends to use less power and needs no starter, though it is not a like-for-like swap in every fixture. The listing summary mentions a 20W version, so confirm the wattage on the page matches the 12W you want. Available on Sokonia.
