The Ingco HHS6001 is a long-handled hedge shear built around 55# carbon steel blades, with an overall length of 557mm, or roughly 23.5 inches. That longer reach suits gardeners trimming hedges, shrubs and light ornamental growth where you want to stay clear of the plant rather than crouch into it. The carbon steel should take and hold a working edge, but it also means the blades need drying and a light oil after use, especially in damp Tanzanian conditions, since carbon steel is more prone to surface rust than stainless. Before buying, check the blade length, handle material and grip type, and whether replacement parts are easy to find, because those details decide how the shear feels over a long session. Compare it with bypass pruners for thinner stems and with geared or ratchet loppers for branches the shear cannot manage. If your hedges are dense or woody, a lopper will do more of the heavy work.
