Ingco Test Pencil HSDT1908 AC 100-500V, 4x190mm

Our review

The Ingco Test Pencil HSDT1908 is a basic voltage tester for checking whether an AC circuit is live, covering the 100 to 500V range common in Tanzanian homes and workshops. Its 4x190mm slotted tip is slim enough to reach into socket outlets, junction boxes and light fittings, and the plastic hanger keeps it visible on a pegboard or tool rack. It suits electricians, technicians and confident DIYers doing quick safety checks before touching wiring. Before buying, confirm the voltage range matches the circuits you work on, and remember a tester like this indicates presence of voltage rather than measuring it precisely. Compare with multimeters if you need readings, or with non-contact detectors if you prefer probing without touching conductors. Treat it as one safety aid among several, and never rely on a single tester alone.
