CKE WG-EB-689 Commercial Electric BBQ Lava Rock Grill, 7.8kW 600mm Stainless Steel

Our review

This is a countertop electric charbroiler from CKE, model WG-EB-689, rated at 7.8kW on 220V and built in stainless steel with a 600mm working width. It is aimed at professional kitchens that need real grilling heat but cannot run gas, such as indoor stalls, mall food units, or premises where ventilation or fuel rules rule out an open flame. The lava rock design is the traditional route to steady radiant heat and those dark grill marks, and the high wattage is there to keep the surface hot when you load it repeatedly rather than sagging between orders.
Before buying, work out whether your electrical supply can carry a unit of this class, since a 7.8kW appliance on 220V draws a heavy current and usually needs a dedicated circuit. Measure your counter depth and the 600mm footprint against your pass, and think about clearance above the unit and how you will vent smoke and grease. Compare it with gas charbroilers of similar width if you already have gas, and with smaller electric griddles if your menu is lighter. It is available on Sokonia.
