Decakila 24cm Aluminium Frying Pan KMEP002B with Heat Indicator

Our review

This Decakila frying pan measures 24cm across, roughly 9.5 inches, and is made from aluminium, so it stays light enough to lift one-handed when you are tipping out an omelette or sliding a fillet onto a plate. The built-in heat indicator is the detail worth noting: it gives you a visual cue for when the pan has warmed through, which helps if you are still learning how your hob behaves or you regularly cook fish and meat that dry out when the pan is not ready. The dishwasher-safe body means cleanup does not have to be a hand-wash job after a family meal. It suits a home cook feeding a few people, and the brand also positions it for restaurant use, though a busy kitchen would likely want several pans rather than one. Before buying, think about the size you actually need: 24cm is a middle ground that handles two or three eggs or a single large fillet comfortably, but a bigger family cooking in one batch may prefer something wider. Also check which hob types your kitchen has, since the listing does not state compatibility, and confirm the pan's suitability for your setup before ordering. Compare it with other aluminium pans of the same diameter, and weigh whether the heat indicator and dishwasher-safe finish matter more to you than a different handle or coating. Available on Sokonia.
