Silverdome RFD-144 126L Double Door Refrigerator with Top Freezer

Our review

The Silverdome RFD-144 is a compact double-door refrigerator with the freezer on top, listed at a 126L gross size and a 134L net capacity split into 93L for the fridge and 45L for the freezer. It uses a defrost system rather than frost-free operation, mechanical temperature control, R600a refrigerant, toughened glass shelves and a tropicalized compressor, which is the part worth noting in Tanzania's heat. The four-star freezer compartment means it can freeze fresh food, not just hold already-frozen items.
This suits a small household, a bedsitter, an office kitchen or anyone who wants a modest second fridge and does not need a large family unit. Before buying, check the actual footprint against your space, since the listing gives capacity but no dimensions, and confirm the door swing direction works for your kitchen layout. Because it is a defrost model, expect to manually defrost the freezer occasionally, unlike frost-free alternatives. Compare it with similar-capacity two-door fridges on shelf count, freezer star rating and compressor type, and weigh whether the tropicalized compressor matters more to you than a frost-free convenience feature. It is available on Sokonia.
