The plates lift out and are dishwasher safe, and there is an integrated fat drip tray to catch run-off, plus a dedicated app. It suits someone who cooks for a household and wants one machine to press paninis, grill meat and vegetables, and griddle breakfasts without juggling separate appliances. Before buying, think about counter space, since an open full grill or griddle needs clearance on both sides, and check that the functions you would actually use are among the six. Compared with basic two-plate contact grills, the appeal here is the digital control and the flexibility of open and half-and-half configurations; compared with a flat electric griddle, you gain the pressing and top-melt options.
