Tronic Candle Tail 5W LED Day Light E27 Screw Bulb

Our review

This is a 5-watt LED bulb in the candle tail shape, meaning a slim, tapered profile rather than the round globe most people picture. It uses an E27 screw base, the standard wide fitting found on many household lamps and fixtures, and it produces day light, the cooler white tone that reads as bright and crisp rather than warm and yellow. Tronic builds it from mercury-free, fire-retardant materials, and the light is described as free of infrared and harmful ultraviolet output, with softened illumination that is easier on the eyes. That combination suits bedside lamps, wall sconces, chandeliers and other fittings where a smaller, decorative bulb looks better than a bulky one, and where you want clear white light for reading or tasks rather than a cosy glow. Before buying, check three things: that your fixture takes an E27 screw base and not a small bayonet or E14 fitting, that the candle tail shape and length will physically fit inside the shade or holder, and that day light is the colour temperature you actually want in that room, since cool white can feel clinical in a bedroom but sharp in a hallway or workspace. It is also worth comparing against other candle-shaped LEDs on brightness, since 5 watts is a modest output best suited to accent and ambient lighting rather than lighting a whole room on its own. If you need a dimmable bulb, confirm that separately, as nothing here states it. Available on Sokonia.
