Symphony Diet 12i Personal Tower Air Cooler, 12L Tank, Remote Control

Our review
The Symphony Diet 12i is a personal tower air cooler, meaning it is sized to cool the person sitting near it rather than an entire open-plan room. The 12-litre tank and included remote control are the two details worth noting, since tank size decides how long you can run it between refills and the remote saves you getting up to change settings. Its tower shape and slim footprint suit bedrooms, study rooms and small offices where a boxy cooler would take up too much floor space. Symphony positions it around efficient cooling with low energy consumption, which matters if you plan to leave it running for long stretches. Before buying, think about the size of the room you want to cool, whether you have a window or door nearby for ventilation, and how you will fill and drain a tank of this size. Compare it with other personal coolers on tank capacity, blower strength and whether they include a remote, and with full-size coolers if you need to cool a larger living area.
