Decakila Ceramic Single Hot Plate 1500W Kecc009m

Our review

This Decakila unit is a single electric burner with a ceramic hot plate, a stainless steel body and a cast-iron heating element, rated at 1500W with five heat settings. It suits someone who needs one extra cooking surface: a bedsitter or hostel room, a small family kitchen, a backup burner during power or gas interruptions, or a host keeping food warm at the table. Because it is portable, it can be moved between kitchen, dining area and balcony, and the anti-skid rubber feet are there to keep it steady while you stir. Before buying, check the plate diameter against your largest pot, confirm your socket and wiring can handle 1500W, and decide whether you want a ceramic surface or the exposed coil type, which usually heats faster but is fussier to clean. Compare heat settings, body material and plate size with other single burners, and think about how often you will actually use one ring rather than two. It is available on Sokonia.
