Ingco GE55003 5.5kW Petrol Generator with Copper Alternator

Our review

The Ingco GE55003 is a petrol generator aimed at households, workshops and small businesses that need backup or off-grid power for tools, lights and appliances. Its 389ml four-stroke OHV engine runs at 3000rpm and produces 5.0kW rated and 5.5kW maximum output at 50Hz, with a copper wire alternator and a 25L fuel tank. Starting is either recoil or electric, and the air-cooled system keeps maintenance simpler. Before buying, think about your actual load: motor-driven tools and pumps draw more at startup than their rating suggests, so add up surge demand rather than just running watts. Compare similar petrol sets on alternator material, starting method, tank size and dry weight, since a heavier unit is harder to move but often more stable. Also check whether you want a recoil-only model or the convenience of electric start. The GE55003 sits in the mid-to-upper range for this power class, so weigh it against smaller 3kW units if your needs are light, or larger sets if you plan to run several heavy loads at once. It is available on Sokonia.
