Ingco HSL18100 Aluminum Spirit Level, 100cm, 1mm Aluminum Thickness

Our review

This is a 100cm spirit level from Ingco, model HSL18100, built from aluminum with a body thickness of 1mm. The frame is heat-treated for strength and chrome plated, which helps it resist corrosion and makes it easier to wipe clean after use on dusty or damp sites. At a metre long, it suits tasks where a shorter level is awkward: setting door and window frames, checking wall and floor runs, aligning cabinets, or general carpentry and masonry work. It is a reasonable pick for tradespeople and serious DIY users who want a longer level without stepping up to heavier box-section tools. Before buying, think about the length you actually need, since 100cm is unwieldy in tight spaces, and check that the vial reads clearly from the angles you work at. Compare it with other aluminum levels of similar length, looking at wall thickness, vial count and how the edges are machined, because those details affect accuracy and how long the tool stays true.
