Tronic HDMI Extender — HDMI to Ethernet Adapter

Our review
The Tronic HDMI Extender is an adapter for a specific problem: a device that has an HDMI port but no Ethernet connector. You plug it into the HDMI port, then run an Ethernet cable from the adapter, which is why smart televisions are the usual example. It is not a general-purpose network switch or a way to add ports to a laptop that already has them. Before buying, confirm your device actually lacks an Ethernet socket and that its HDMI port is the one you intend to use, since the adapter occupies that port. Compare it with alternatives by checking which connector type they present to your device and whether they match your existing cable. If your television has no Ethernet port and you want a wired connection, this is the straightforward option. Available on Sokonia.
