Tronic Step Down Transformer 200VA 230V to 110V (ST 0200-230-110)

Our review

This Tronic unit is a step-down transformer rated at 200VA, taking 230V input down to 110V output, which is the voltage used by appliances from North America and Japan. It suits someone running a single small 110V device at home or in a shop, such as a shaver, small audio unit, or similar low-draw equipment. Before buying, add up the wattage of everything you plan to plug in and keep it comfortably under the 200VA rating, since motors and heating elements can pull more at startup than their labels suggest. Compare against higher-capacity transformers if you need to run several devices at once, and check whether your appliance is genuinely 110V rather than dual-voltage, because many modern electronics work on both and need no converter at all. The listing gives no further specifications, so confirm plug type and capacity with the seller on Sokonia if unsure.
