Tronic LED Recessed Downlight, 18W Daylight

Our review

This Tronic downlight is a recessed ceiling fitting that uses an 18-watt LED to produce daylight-white light. The higher wattage and daylight tone make it a reasonable pick for rooms where you want bright, even illumination across a wide area rather than a soft, warm glow, such as kitchens, workrooms, shops or larger living spaces. Because it sits flush in the ceiling, it also suits rooms where hanging fixtures would get in the way. Before buying, check the cut-out size your ceiling already has, since recessed fittings must match the hole, and confirm the colour temperature suits the room, as daylight can feel clinical in bedrooms. Compare it with lower-wattage downlights if the space is small, and with warm-white versions if you prefer a cosier feel. No specifications beyond the 18-watt daylight output are given, so treat those as the deciding factors. It is available on Sokonia.
