Tronic Surface Downlight Square 18W Daylight LED

Our review

This Tronic fixture is a square surface-mounted downlight rated at 18 watts, and it produces a daylight colour tone rather than a warm one. Because it sits on the surface instead of being recessed, it suits rooms where you cannot or would rather not cut into the ceiling, such as concrete slabs, rented spaces, or corridors where access above is difficult. The daylight output tends to work well in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and workspaces where clear, neutral light matters more than a cosy atmosphere. Before buying, check the ceiling area you have in mind and confirm a surface fitting is what you want, since it will protrude slightly. Also think about the colour temperature you prefer, because daylight can feel clinical in bedrooms and living areas. Compared with recessed downlights, this type is simpler to install and reposition, but it is more visible. Compare wattage and colour tone with other square LED panels if you need several matched fittings.
