Philips DLM2103/00 Wired Dynamic Microphone with Detachable 3m Cable

Our review

The Philips DLM2103/00 is a wired dynamic microphone aimed at people who want dependable speech and vocal capture without dealing with batteries or wireless pairing. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound arriving from the front while rejecting more of the noise around and behind it, which helps in rooms that are not acoustically treated. The detachable 3-metre cable gives you room to move or position the mic away from your equipment, and the on/off switch lets you mute quickly between uses.
It suits podcasters, streamers, presenters, interviewers and home recorders working at a desk or in a small studio. Before buying, check which connector your audio interface, mixer or computer input accepts, since the listing gives no connector type, and confirm your setup can supply the gain a dynamic mic typically needs. Also decide whether a detachable cable matters to you, as it makes replacement easier than a fixed one.
Compared with other wired dynamic microphones, the long cable and detachable design are the main practical differences, while USB alternatives trade that flexibility for simpler plug-and-play setup. If your priority is straightforward wired capture with less room noise, this is worth a look. It is available on Sokonia.
