Sony SRS-XP700 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with X-Balanced Sound and 25-Hour Battery

Our review
The SRS-XP700 is Sony's larger portable party speaker, built around an X-Balanced driver that the company says delivers powerful bass, with an integrated rear tweeter helping push sound in all directions rather than straight ahead. Sony rates battery life at up to 25 hours and includes quick charging, and the cabinet carries an IPX4 splash-resistant rating, so light rain or spills near a pool are less of a worry. Two mic or guitar inputs let you sing or play along, and indirect LED illumination adds atmosphere. It suits hosts, DJs and outdoor entertainers who want volume and stamina rather than a pocket-sized speaker. Before buying, think about how you will carry it, whether you need stereo pairing with a second unit, and how it compares with smaller Sony portables or rival party speakers on bass depth versus portability.
