Ocean Doppio Double Wall Glass Mug, 430ml, Set of 6

Our review

This is a six-piece set of the Ocean Doppio, a double wall glass mug with a 430ml capacity. The double wall construction is the point of the design: it helps hold the temperature of whatever you pour in, so a hot coffee stays warm longer and a cold drink stays cold, and the outer wall stays comfortable to hold. Ocean positions it for both hot and cold serving, and notes that the glass can help bring out the taste of the drink. It suits someone who wants one mug that works across the day rather than separate hot and cold glassware, and the six-piece count makes it practical for a household or for serving guests. Before buying, think about how you drink: 430ml is a generous single serving, so check it fits your usual cup size and your cupboard. Double wall glass is lighter in the hand than it looks and shows the drink clearly, but it is still glass, so hand washing is the safer habit. Compare it with single wall glass mugs, which are simpler and often cheaper but lose heat faster and can feel hot to hold, and with ceramic mugs, which retain heat well but hide the drink. If seeing the layers of your coffee or iced tea matters to you, this style is the one to consider. Available on Sokonia.
